Hooray for . . . AACC!
Documentary highlights the association's accomplishments
If you’re going to be in Tinseltown—Tinseltown adjacent, if you want to be a stickler—then you might as well go see a movie. As it turns out, the AACC Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo has just the ticket: on Monday, July 16, the AACC’s History Division will premiere AACC—What a Great Idea, a movie that takes an in-depth look at the association’s 50-plus years.
AACC—What a Great Idea highlights the contributions of individuals and features a retrospective of how technology has changed the laboratory. In the grand old moviegoing tradition, the 30-minute feature will be preceded by a short subject, Movie Molecules: Clinical Chemistry in Hollywood, which looks at how Hollywood has portrayed the laboratory. I'm smiling already.
The films will run in a continual loop in Room 407 at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 2:30 to 5 PM. Open to all registered attendees. And don't forget to grab some popcorn on your way in to the screening room.
