BIT Companies, an IVD equipment manufacturer based in Germany, has teamed with DRG Diagnostics to develop an analyzer that simultaneously measures immunoassays and clinical chemistry parameters in one sample. The fully automated DRG:HYBRiD XL Analyzer is designed for use in labs of all sizes and is capable of measuring 40 different tests from one sample or one or two tests from 20 samples, according to the partners. Users may also combine individual diagnostic panels from immunoassays and clinical chemistry. The instrument accommodates turbidimetric tests as well. It provides first results in 10 minutes and operates at a rate of 80 tests per hour over 2 runs, the companies say.
