Identigene DNA Paternity Test Kit Featured on The Doctors TV Program

Identigene announced that the Identigene DNA Paternity Test Kit was featured on the popular syndicated talk show “The Doctors.” Drs. Jim Sears, Travis Stork, Lisa Masterson, and Drew Ordon emphasized that questions of paternity are frequent and common among their patients, and the Identigene test kit can provide answers with result probabilities up to 99.99%.

The program’s team of four doctors, along with guest host Nancy Grace, highlighted the reliability and availability of the test kit as part of their hour-long program on March 9. The program’s medical team applies its knowledge and years of hands-on experience to educate viewers and provide valuable resources for the healthy-minded public.

Identigene is the world’s largest provider of direct-to-consumer paternity tests, first making the Identigene DNA Paternity Test Kit available in retail stores in 2007. Since then, availability of the kit has extended to all 50 states, with New York becoming the 50th state to carry the test in February 2011. Identigene’s first and only over-the-counter DNA paternity test kit is now available in more than 16,500 retail locations nationwide.

The Identigene DNA Paternity Test process is simple and straightforward. After customers purchase the test kit from their local pharmacy, they provide a sample of cheek cells collected from the child, the mother, and the alleged father. The sample swabs, consent forms, and a lab fee are then sent to Identigene for processing. Results are made available to customers within two business days.

“Doctors and consumers throughout the United States are becoming more aware of the Identigene paternity test kit and the help it can provide in answering some of life’s most important questions,” said Steve Smith, executive director of Identigene. “Our DNA paternity test provides customers the easiest, most affordable way to get accurate answers to these questions from the privacy of their own home.”
