The U.S. Veterans Administration has
extended its medical supplies contract with QuickMedical GS for the company’s IVDs, reagents, and test kits until August 14, 2017. The extension allows all government customers to purchase the medical products from QuickMedical as a veteran-owned small business.
Karl Durham, administrative manager of
QuickMedical, says the five-year renewal means the company will avoid starting the contracting process all over again and can continue listing the products in the GSA Advantage and NAC catalogs. The VA is required to conduct at least 12% of its business with a veteran-owned small business and 7% of its business with all other federal agencies, according to the company. It is the second of GS Medical’s three VA contracts that has been extended for five years, Durham says.
