High-precision filling |
A company integrates net-weigh capability with its Monoblock Filler/Capper device to create a very precise filling system for bottles, microtubes, vials, and syringes. Integrated scales measure and record the weight of the container prior to and again after filling to verify exact fill amounts with an accuracy of ±2 mg. The Monoblock Filler/Capper with integrated net-weigh system handles rates up to 70 containers per minute. A large, full-color touch screen provides an operator interface to adjust the servo controls for the diving nozzles as well as the pump fill rates. The system performs as follows: bottles, microtubes, vials, or syringes enter the Monoblock starwheel from the container in-feed. The empty container is weighed, and the data is recorded by the embedded controls. A servo-controlled filling pump provides accurate dispensing, and the container is weighed again after being filled. The system records and compares both weights and measures the difference in weights against preprogrammed values. Containers with incorrect fill weights are automatically rejected while correct containers are capped or closed and allowed to exit the Monoblock for further processing downstream. Feedback controls on the system may be configured to automatically adjust the filling nozzles to maintain precise filling volume.
